Springboard Housing is a social welfare company who’s mission compliments the social goals and business strategies of its parent company: credit.org. Springboard Housing’s primary mission is to preserve, improve, maintain and increase affordable housing utilizing Social Conscious Management which empowers residents to improve their lives. This is accomplished through the day to day operations that encourage a high level of resident involvement in community activities and outreach, including financial education and literacy programs such as our Rental Counseling program.
The Credit.org Approach
Springboard Housing is a wholly owned subsidiary of credit.org who formed in 1974 to improve the lives and financial well-being of individuals and families by providing quality financial education and counseling. For more than 40 years credit.org has built a quality reputation as a member of the Better Business Bureau accredited by the Council on Accreditation, are HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency, member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, and a member of the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies.
In the past few years credit.org recognized a need to preserve, improve, maintain and increase affordable housing in the United States and formed Springboard Housing and Springboard Affordable Housing Management LLC in 2012 to carry out the mission. Communities are acquired by investors who choose to invest with a purpose through stand alone deals or through our series of Affordable Housing Funds.
